John H.W. Tripp P.E., is a native of Eastern North Carolina. Raised in Greenville NC., John joined the military upon graduating high school, where he spent a tour in Vietnam and retired with honors as a Senior Master Sergeant. Following his storied career in the United States Air Force, John received his engineering degree from North Carolina State University.

   

     John is an accomplished engineer, who spent 20 years following his service career working as an engineer for the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. His knowledge of construction both commercial and residential is second to none. Since retiring from Camp Lejeune in 2011, John has worked with many building contractors and owners on projects ranging from new building design to retrofitting 100 year old properties.

     

    John’s office is conveniently located inside the Conner Design Studio at 101 N. Wilmington Street. Depending on the project size and scope, John has a team of specialists that include other licensed engineers and surveyors that he can retain to insure your project is a complete success.
